World Bank Global Day of Action

On Tuesday, 1 March, Christian Aid joined forces with campaigners around the world to tell  the World Bank: Free Us From Fossil Fuels!

With stunts in London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, and online activity around the world, this was a truly global day of climate action.

Thanks to the hundreds of you who have taken part via Twitter and Facebook! Here we bring you the best parts!

World Bank Day of ActionWe braved the unexpectedly freezing London morning to stage our chain gang stunt outside the World Bank's Millbank alongside the World Development Movement, Jubilee Debt Campaign and People & Planet. See the photo above - you can see more in our gallery below.

We also staged a couple of mini-takeovers on the World Bank Facebook page to leave our message: 'Free Us From Fossil Fuels!' Below's our first - here's another we staged later.
