The thousands who have taken the Copenhagen pledge across Britain and Ireland are just part of a bigger picture.
The Countdown to Copenhagen campaign is a truly global movement in the face of an urgent global issue.
We can all play our part. Start by taking our Copenhagen pledge.
In Europe
Christian Aid has joined forces with other development agencies from across Europe, including members of the Aprodev coalition.
Via our international website, countdowntocopenhagen.org, campaigners from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and Switzerland have been able to sign up to the international Copenhagen pledge.

In North America
In the US, Church World Service is collecting pledges that call on President Barack Obama to attend the Copenhagen summit in person to help ensure a fair and just outcome.

In developing countries
There's no one better placed to talk about the true costs of climate change than people living in the world's poorest countries.
Christian Aid partners in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia are making sure their voices are heard, either by participating in the Copenhagen talks, or pressing their own governments into urgent action, as we have seen in India, Bolivia and the Philippines. See the video at the top of the page.
