Over the past 30 years he has played a pivotal role in virtually every movement for empowerment, peace, civil rights, gender equality, and economic and social justice.

The Rev Jackson is known for bringing people together in common ground across lines of race, class, gender, and belief.

Loretta Minghella OBE

Loretta MinghellaLoretta Minghella is Director of Christian Aid and is responsible for its strategic direction, plans and programme.

She joined Christian Aid in April 2010 and was formerly chief executive of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Paul Brannen

Paul BrannenPaul Brannen is head of Advocacy and Influence at Christian Aid, and leads its campaigns, policy and media work.

He previously worked for Toc H, the Anti-Apartheid Movement, Common Purpose and HSBC. In 1992, Paul was the first person in Christian Aid to work specifically on campaigning and his work led to the formation of the Campaigns Team.

He has twice stood for Parliament and spent five years on Newcastle City Council.
