This year we are having a special focus on our work with refugees, both in the Middle East and in Europe. Our two excellent speakers: Mairead Collins, Christian Aid’s Emergency Programme Manager for Asia and the Middle East, and Rev Kathryn Viner, minister of Malone Presbyterian Church who travelled with a delegation of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland to Greece to see work with refugees.
Through some short seminars we will explore how Christian Aid Week will both highlight and enable you to respond, giving you practical ideas to take back to your church and community. As usual there will be an opportunity to browse Christian Aid resources and to pick up goodies from the Traidcraft stall.
This is a really valuable event for all Christian Aid supporters, but especially for organisers, church reps and collectors. Please do invite others in your church and encourage them to join you there.
There are downloadable flyers and a poster to display in your church, and a short example notice for your church bulletin:
