Thank you to everyone who came along to the annual Christian Aid Sheep’s Head Hike, held on Saturday 6 September. It was the most successful event to date with a total of 164 walkers taking part.
Participants aged 4 and upwards travelled from counties Cork, Tipperary and areas of the UK to take part. This year we also were delighted to welcome local resident and television personality Graham Norton to the event.
The group took in two new scenic routes on the Sheep’s Head Way and walked in solidarity with those living in poverty throughout the developing world.
Andrew Coleman, Christian Aid local representative, expressed deep appreciation to all who made the walk such a successful and enjoyable day.
We are extremely grateful to:
Community Hall Committee of Kilcrohane
The parish of Kilmocomogue Union
Canon Paul Willoughby
The Red Cross
The members of Sheep’s Head Way Committee
Local supporters who organised the event
Ulla Zepperitz (Gourmet Grill)

Almost €5,000 has already been raised, and with sponsorship still coming in we are optimistic of meeting our fundraising target of €6,000!
Thank you to everyone who helped raise this fantastic total – without your support we simply could not carry out our work. We look forward to you all joining us again in 2015!
