Giving in memory at your loved one’s funeral

Each gift in memory we receive is unique. It speaks of the love for the person in whose memory it is given. Thank you so much for considering making such a special gift to us.

We understand that planning a funeral is a very difficult time, so if you would prefer to talk to someone rather than look through the information here, please call Alison or Kerry in our In Memory Giving team on 020 7523 2173, and they will be glad to talk to you in person.

How we can help

  • Would you like us to use gifts for a particular area of our work? You can choose from our education, water or agriculture work. Or you may prefer us to simply use gifts for our work in general, to support any of our life-changing projects.

  • Whichever area of work you decide to support - we can provide a short paragraph for your order of service explaining how gifts will be used. If you wish, we can also provide a short prayer that marks your loved one’s care for others and refers to the theme of our work you have chosen.

  • We can provide in memory gift envelopes - these allow people to donate their gift by cash, cheque or credit card and include a Gift Aid slip. Please email or call to let us know how many you will need for the service.

  • Your funeral director will often be able to help you collate gifts – sending on cheques, credit card slips and gift aid declarations to us. Where donations have been made by cash, these can sometimes be banked by the funeral director, who will then issue a cheque to us for the total made.

  • Gifts should be sent to: Kerry McMahon, In Memory Giving team, PO Box 100, London, SE1 7RL. Please do not send cash through the post.

Please do contact Alison or Kerry in our In Memory Giving team on 020 7523 2173, if you have any questions or would rather talk to someone in person.

Thank you.
