Christian Aid Week 2017

June 2017

This year's Christian Aid Week marked 60 years of people coming together to ring doorbells, hold coffee mornings, bake sales and book sales.

On this diamond anniversary, we've been celebrating our supporters' incredible commitment to our belief in life before death. You support Christian Aid's work not only for one week a year, but week on week, year on year.

You have walked in solidarity with our neighbours across the globe and made a difference to those who live in poverty.

Your consistent commitment over 21,900 days has brought justice, empowerment and hope to the lives of millions of people. Each supporter is a facet of a collective diamond. To you all: thanks for being willing to shine!

House-to-house collecting raised a whopping 50% of Christian Aid Week's total income in Scotland in 2016, and no doubt will have been just as critical to the success of Christian Aid Week again this year.

We know that carrying out a house-to-house collection for Christian Aid Week, particularly recruiting enough people to take part, can be a huge task. Thank you to all our collectors and collection organisers for your wonderful efforts!

If you have any comments about your experience of house-to-house collecting that you want to share, do get in touch with your local office.

Your events

The Christian Aid Scotland staff team visited events all over the country during Christian Aid Week. You can see photos from our visits on Facebook.

If you have any photos or video clips from a Christian Aid Week event, do send them in - we'd love to see what you've been getting up to!
