A little girl holds a candle in remembrance of deceased family members

At Christian Aid, we are strongly committed to inspire and encourage churches and individuals to hold poor communities in prayer. For many years we have had prayer resources on our website but have had no regular gathering of people to pray for our work communally.

Beginning Monday 12 November, we are going to start encouraging people to come together once a month over lunchtime to pray for some of the poorest communities around the world. These gatherings will be in House 27 in Trinity College Dublin and will be run in conjunction with the Methodist chaplaincy in Trinity.

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

Matthew 18:20 (NIV)

Each gathering will take place on the second Monday of the month, in the same location. It will last for just 30 minutes, as we hear about the work of some of our partners overseas and pray for the requests they have.

Everyone is welcome to join us and you are welcome to bring lunch with you too if you need to eat. This is a great opportunity to hear more about our work, meet people who also desire to see change in the world and to make a difference with our work in the field through your prayers.
