This year we are delighted to have two new Supporter Conferences in the Republic of Ireland, with the theme of “Hope going forward”.
2021 is Christian Aid’s year of Climate Justice and we are calling on the church to pray, act and give. The supporter conferences are a great way to explore how we can be inspired to be involved in this challenge.
Both conferences will take place via Zoom and the details can be found below.
Northern Region Supporter Conference
(Covering Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan and Monaghan)
Thursday 18th February 2021, 8pm via Zoom
Southern Region Supporter Conference
(Covering Cork, Kerry, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford)
Thursday 25th February, 8pm via Zoom
The structure for each of the zoom meetings will be:
- Opening Prayer
- Overview of the ongoing work of Christian Aid during the coronavirus pandemic
- An interview with Rosamond Bennett (CEO of Christian Aid Ireland) and a member of our team in Kenya
- A presentation by Sorley McCaughey (Head of Policy and Advocacy in Christian Aid Ireland) in respect of future plans and challenges ahead in the world
- “What you can do.”: Ideas and suggestions for supporters to be involved going forward
- ‘Open Mic’ forum for discussion and feedback
- Closing prayer
