Due to the success of last year's pilot, this Lent we will once again launch our daily email reflections called Footprints.
Throughout Lent and Holy Week 2020, you'll receive inspiring daily email reflections written by church leaders, theologians, activists and practitioners from Ireland and around the world.
Each daily email will consist of a prayer and short reflection based on one of the Bible readings from the Revised Common Lectionary for each day during Lent and Holy Week from Ash Wednesday (26 February) through to Easter Sunday (12 April).
Recipients will be inspired through the daily Scripture readings to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God. You will also be encouraged to consider the footprint you leave on the world, both in terms of the legacy we leave behind us and the impact of our lifestyle on people and planet.
For many Christians, Lent is an opportunity to simplify, to reflect and to refocus on Jesus as we prepare for Easter. This year, I’m excited to take time each day to read the daily Footprints Lent Reflections and am praying that God will use these to redirect my footsteps in line with him. I hope that you will join me.
- David Thomas, Church & Community Manager.
Footprints is free to receive and will see daily reflections sent direct to your inbox. By signing up you will receive an email each day between Ash Wednesday and Easter.
We look forward to walking with you through Lent this year.
