Join with us and celebrate the impact of Christian Aid’s work in Bangladesh.
'Creating Light' - an evening of Christmas crafts and cooking.
Date: Thursday 30 November at 7pm
Location: First Bangor Presbyterian Church
You’ll hear about our work with a group of determined young women in northern Bangladesh changing their lives, and the lives of other women in their communities. Our guest artisans will then help you to learn the traditional crafts and skills these women are using to create brighter futures – from bead work, to embroidery, to growing kitchen gardens.
During the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Make a beaded bracelet with Lynsey from Sassy Beads.
- Create an embroidered felt Christmas decoration with Suzanne from Nice Threads.
- The evening will then finish with a delicious, Christmas-inspired cookery demonstration by Mollie from Ballytrim Pantry, which of course you’ll get to sample!
Thursday 30 November will be a wonderful evening, shining a light on these incredible young Bangladeshi women whose creativity is helping to lead their communities out of poverty this Christmas.
