Gaza may have stepped back from famine, but the crisis is far from over. Three months after the ceasefire, only a quarter of the life-saving aid people need is reaching them. An entire population is being stripped of food, dignity, and life itself.

Starvation is being used as a weapon and innocent lives are being targeted. This is not a natural disaster - it is a man-made - it is a moral crisis we cannot ignore.

We will never look away

Every child deserves to be nourished, not left to die from starvation. Your support can bring hope and life.

What's happening in the Middle East?

Since the war broke out in October 2023, civilians have seen relentless bombardment, displacement and deprivation

In Gaza, 463 people have died as a result of starvation, 157 of them children. These numbers are increasing with each passing day. Children are dying at twice the rate of adults, their fragile bodies unable to withstand even the simplest illnesses, like diarrhoea. Mothers weakened by hunger are delivering premature babies and many can no longer produce the milk their newborns desperately need to survive.

After two years of relentless bombardment, displacement and deprivation, a ceasefire was agreed in Gaza. For many, it offered a moment of respite, but it does not end the suffering. More than a month since the ceasefire in Gaza was agreed, there is still a lack of aid and basic goods entering Gaza. In early November, a quarter of families in Gaza were still surviving on just one meal a day.

Palestinians are still being regularly killed by Israeli airstrikes in violation of the ceasefire and residential buildings continue to be destroyed in areas still controlled by the Israeli military. People are also risk of injury and death due to unexploded ordinance.

Heavy rain in November resulted in widespread flooding, destroying thousands of tents and raising the risk of the spread of disease. Tents and bedding are amongst the aid still being regularly blocked from entering Gaza.

As winter continues and temperatures drop, more than 1 million people in Gaza living in tents or poorly insulated housing are in need of emergency shelter as well as winter kits to help keep them warm.

How your donations help

How your donations helps Every donation helps us meet the escalating needs of people fighting for their very survival.

  • £10

or €12 could provide blankets for two people to keep them warm.

  • £50

or €60 could provide emergency food for five families for one week.

  • £100

or €120 could provide emergency shelter for five families.

As Christmas approaches, we often think of gathering together, giving thanks and sharing abundance, yet this stands in stark contrast to the ongoing suffering endured by innocent men, women and children in Gaza. Through this emergency appeal, we are asking our compassionate supporters to unite once more, to help ensure that no one is left to go hungry.

Every prayer, every gift, every act of kindness brings hope to those caught in this man-made crisis.

Please stand with us, your action today can bring life and hope.

We believe in life before death

We won’t look away. Will you?

But what about the blockade, will my donation reach those who need it?

Our partners are not distant bystanders - they live this crisis every day alongside the communities they serve. They do far more than deliver aid - they lift voices that must be heard, fight for justice and carry hope into the darkest moments.

Despite the aid blockade that has hindered so many other humanitarian aid agencies, our local partners, deeply rooted in the communities they serve, are still reaching those most in need with food, clean water, medical care, education and safe shelter.

Your solidarity has made this possible. Since October 2023, your generosity has helped deliver emergency aid to more than 900,000 people, provided food to over 1.3 million and supplied clean water and sanitation to more than 950,000.

The needs, heartbreakingly, continue to grow. But we want you to know how powerfully your support is saving lives and to share an opportunity for you to amplify that impact even further.
