A gift in memory of someone you’ve loved can make a real impact on our work.

It’s a truly special way to pay tribute to a loved one. For many of our supporters, it says so much about the person they’re honouring, and the love with which the gift has been given.

Eleri Twynog Davies and her family gave in memory of her mother Hazel, who died four years ago.

Eleri travelled to Bolivia to see how these special gifts are changing lives.

'My mother was the type of person who would help anyone. I miss having her around when I’m happy, or when I’m feeling low. She had a great sense of humour and a zest for life.

'My family and I discussed specific projects, and decided that collections and donations in memory of my mother would go towards a project that would give the poorer communities in Kenya clean water, through the building of wells. It brought us great comfort at such difficult times to know that the money would help others in great need. It was what ‘mam’ would have wanted.'
