Bangladesh

Christian Aid has been working in Bangladesh since 1972. Some of the areas we work are resilient livelihoods, disaster risk reduction and inclusion.

Bolivia

We worked in Bolivia for more than 30 years with the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in the Amazon region.

Brazil

We worked in Brazil for over 40 years to reduce inequality and strive for justice.

Burundi

We've been working in Burundi since 1995, initially providing humanitarian assistance following the Rwandan genocide, but now focusing on development.

Colombia

Christian Aid's work in Colombia focuses on the related issues of violence, land and territory, impunity, vulnerable communities and human rights.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

Christian Aid has worked in the DRC since the 1970s. We contribute to the efforts of the Congolese people to build a prosperous and democratic nation at the heart of Africa.

Dominican Republic

Christian Aid has supported partners on the island of Hispaniola since the 1980s, improving the lives of the most vulnerable by providing a voice to those who are often marginalised.

El Salvador

We work with our partners in El Salvador to empower marginalised communities to demand tax justice, accountability and protection of human rights.

Ghana

In Ghana we worked to significantly improve the lives of poor and marginalised men and women and bring about a fair and just society.

Haiti

Christian Aid works through local partners to improve the livelihoods of underprivileged Haitians, Dominicans and Haitian migrants.

Kenya

We believe that unjust power relations are at the centre of poverty, so we aim ensure communities are able to understand and exercise their rights to health services, engage in inclusive markets, and be resilient to climate-related risks.

Lebanon

Working with five long-term local partners throughout the country, Christian Aid's strategy has been to tackle the root causes of poverty.

Nepal

We have worked in Nepal since 2004 with local partners in various districts to reach out to people who are vulnerable, marginalised and unheard.

Syria

Christian Aid's Syria crisis response involves working with partners inside Syria and on the associated refugee crisis in the Middle East.

Zambia

Christian Aid in Zambia Our Joint Country Programme (JCP) in Zambia was established in 2011 to challenge the structural barriers to development and ensure the human rights of all Zambians.
