Burkina Faso

We have been working in the Sahel region of West Africa since the 1970s. The programme began with a humanitarian focus and now includes advocacy work.

Burundi

We've been working in Burundi since 1995, initially providing humanitarian assistance following the Rwandan genocide, but now focusing on development.

Dominican Republic

Christian Aid has supported partners on the island of Hispaniola since the 1980s, improving the lives of the most vulnerable by providing a voice to those who are often marginalised.

Ghana

In Ghana we worked to significantly improve the lives of poor and marginalised men and women and bring about a fair and just society.

Haiti

Christian Aid works through local partners to improve the livelihoods of underprivileged Haitians, Dominicans and Haitian migrants.

Kenya

We believe that unjust power relations are at the centre of poverty, so we aim ensure communities are able to understand and exercise their rights to health services, engage in inclusive markets, and be resilient to climate-related risks.

Malawi

Christian Aid has been working in Malawi for almost 20 years. Our projects have focused mainly on resilience, disaster risk response and health, including maternal and child health and HIV treatment and prevention.

Nepal

We have worked in Nepal since 2004 with local partners in various districts to reach out to people who are vulnerable, marginalised and unheard.

Senegal

Our work in Senegal is part of our humanitarian work across the Sahel region, include helping with farming and improving access to education.
